Survey first look results

To date we have had over 200 people complete our initial survey, which is good.  Many thanks to those who have completed it, but to ensure we get as wide a consensus as possible, we really need  even more!  The results are already helping us to shape our thinking by identifying areas where there appears to be some general consensus and others where the views are rather more mixed.  To give you a flavour of the early findings, I have extracted some of the results below:

Hopefully you would agree that, from the above, there does appear to be reasonable levels of support for the concept, although, quite understandably, many in the sector are waiting to see more detail before deciding on their position. Quite right too!

We also asked about having a covenant, as recommended by Lord Lingfield. In this case 23% felt it was very important, with 45% of respondents indicating that this was worth further investigation.

The questions on what should be included in the Guild also produced some useful early results, for example

% who felt it was essential or agreed that it should be in were:
Governance Leadership and Management development      68%
Standards and qualifications                                               85%
Continuous professional development                                80%
World skills                                                                         40%

So if you haven't done so already please do help by completing the short survey so we get the widest possible consensus.
